Konrad Kraehe

Konrad Kraehe (born May 15, 1868 in Königsberg in the Neumark , † January 10, 1943 in Berlin ) was a German infantry general .

Life

During the First World War, from October 13, 1914 to September 13, 1918, Kraehe was in command of the Fusilier Regiment "Queen Victoria of Sweden" (Pomeranian) No. 34 . On October 18, 1917, he was awarded the highest Prussian bravery award, the Order Pour le Mérite , and on August 15, 1918, he received the oak leaves for this award.

After the war he was accepted into the Reichswehr and worked a. a. in the Reichswehr Ministry . From February 1, 1923 to March 31, 1925 he was Infantry Leader V in Stuttgart .

On August 27, 1939, the so-called Tannenberg Day, Kraehe was given the character of General of the Infantry.
