Tim Kincaid

Tim Kincaid (born July 2, 1944 in Santa Barbara , California ; pseudonyms: Joe Gage and Mac Larson ) is an American director , screenwriter and film producer who also starred in some of his productions as a porn actor .

Life

Kincaid was born in Santa Barbara, California and grew up on Santa Catalina Island . After leaving school, Kincaid began working in the porn industry and directing gay films. In the late 1970s, he filmed the porn film trilogy The Kansas City (also known as The Working Man trilogy) under the pseudonym Joe Gage . The individual film titles in the trilogy were Kansas City Trucking Co. , El Paso Wrecking Corp. and LA Tool & Die . What is remarkable about these films is that for the first time they depict sex between masculine men who interact with each other as equal partners, thus breaking away from the stereotypical masculine / feminine role models that were common in gay porn films at the time.

Other gay porn films such as Closet Set and Heatstroke followed in the early 1980s, also under the pseudonym Joe Gage . In the film Morning, Noon and Night he appeared as a porn actor and was seen in the background as an actor in other films. As a director, he shot various low-budget porn films under the pseudonym Mac Larson . In the mid-1980s, Kincaid married the American Cynthia DePaula , with whom he has two sons. Together with his wife, Kincaid produced films such as Bad Girls Dormitory and Robot Holocaust . Some of these films were made in collaboration with the film producer Charles Band . In the late 1990s, Kincaid divorced his wife.

Kincaid then shot the gay porn film Tulsa County Line under his pseudonym Joe Gage . In the following years, Kincaid wrote and directed other porn films for the US company Titan Media , including Back to Barstow , Arcade on Route 9 and the men's room porn series . In 2008, Kincaid appeared as a commentator in a documentary Wrangler: Anatomy of an Icon about Jack Wrangler , one of the first gay porn stars.

In 2001, Kincaid was inducted into the GayVN Awards Hall of Fame for his work as a director and screenwriter . In October 2008 he founded the company D / G Mutual Media under the name Joe Gage together with porn star and fashion designer Ray Dragon .
