Joe Naufahu (born January 25, 1978 in Otahuhu , New Zealand as Joseph Stalin Pereira Naufahu ) is a New Zealand actor and former rugby player of Tongan-Samoan descent.
life and career
Joe Naufahu attended the Auckland Grammar School in his homeland, New Zealand. His roots are widely scattered; his grandparents come from Tonga , Samoa , Portugal and Germany . His brother is the actor and director Rene Naufahu , his cousin the soccer player Jasmine Pereira .
As a rugby player, Naufahu was a member of various U-national teams and played a. a. for the Crusaders from Canterbury, England, and for Southland Rugby , he was preferred to the position of the center . At club level, he played for the Leicester Tigers and the Glasgow Warriors between 2002 and 2004, and in the meantime also for the amateur teams Stirling County RFC and Glasgow Hutcheson's Alyosians RFC after sustaining a knee injury.
Due to the injury, he finally had to end his career and devoted himself to acting after only 13 professional appearances. In 1997 he was already seen in a film, namely in The Whole Moon . Since 2005 he has appeared more frequently in film and television, including Power Rangers and Spartacus , in which he played the role of Liscus . From 2009 to 2012 he appeared in the series Go Girls . In 2016 he took on the role of Dothraki Khal Moro in the HBO series Game of Thrones .
