Joe Pentzlin

Joe Pentzlin (born October 19, 1936 in Berlin ) is a German jazz musician ( piano ). At times he concentrated on blues and boogie woogie .

Pentzlin began studying music and then studying architecture . He first played in the Swing College Trio , appeared at the German Amateur Festival in Düsseldorf and in numerous radio and television programs. For 14 years he worked as a pianist for the talk show 3 to 9 ; he was also on tour in England and Poland. Since 1977 he has worked repeatedly in a duo with Gottfried Böttger , with whom he has also released several albums. He also played with Charly Antolini , Chris Barber , Champion Jack Dupree , Bill Ramsey , Adam Makowicz , Gunter Hampel and Allan Praskin , but also with Karl Dall and Jürgen von der Lippe . He also recorded with his own trio and with Eddie Cleanhead Vinson .
