Joe Saunders (born April 12, 1983 in Fort Lauderdale ) is an American politician of the Democratic Party . Between 2012 and 2014 was an MP in the Florida House of Representatives . Saunders lives in Florida with his partner.

Live and act

Saunders was born in Fort Lauderdale in 1983 and studied at the University of Central Florida from 2001 to 2005 . He completed his political science studies with a Bachelor of Arts . He began his political career as a “community organizer” on campus . He campaigned for environmental protection and more affordable tuition fees . He also advocated stronger measures against discrimination .

After graduating, he worked with "Equality Florida," an organization in Florida , working for homosexuals and transgender used together. Saunders later became director of community involvement at the Equality Florida Institute. In 2008, he played a crucial role in the adoption of the first bullying - Law , adopted in Florida.

In 2012 he was elected to the Florida House of Representatives. He was replaced in 2014 by the Republican Rene Plasencia . Saunders announced that he no longer intends to run for the 2016 House of Representatives.
