Joey McFarland

Joey McFarland (born April 30, 1972 in Louisville , Kentucky ) is an American film producer .

Life

McFarland's mother was already showing weekly films in Louisville such as Casablanca , Gone with the Wind and The Godfather . This sparked his enthusiasm for films and he decided to make films early on. He attended DeSales High School and graduated from the University of Louisville . McFarland is the co-founder and vice chairman of film production company Red Granite Pictures . 2011, the magazine led him Variety in the list of the 10 best producers .

On June 18, 2013 it was announced that McFarland and his company Red Granite Pictures would produce the sequel to the film Dumb and Dumber by Peter and Bobby Farrelly and is expected to publish it on November 14, 2014.

His greatest success to date is his work as a producer on Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street , for which he was nominated for an Oscar for the first time .
