The Jogi Haphong is a mountain in Bangladesh on the border with Myanmar .

location

The summit of the mountain is located in the southeast of Bangladesh to the east of the Upazila Thanchi in the Chittagong Hill Tracts of Chittagong Division belonging district of Bandarban in the Mizo Hills , a ridge having a southern foothills of the Himalayas forms, about 300 meters west of the border with Myanmar . The flanks of the mountain extend into the Mindat district in Myanmar's Chin State .

The next inhabited settlement is the mountain village of Runjong Para, about four kilometers west of the summit at an altitude of about 95 meters.

height

As part of an excursion in February 2017, the height of Jogi Haphong was measured using GPS . A height of 3243 feet (988 meters) was determined. ACME Mapper states the height of the mountain as 974 meters. This makes the Jogi Haphong one of the ten highest peaks in Bangladesh .

The nearest mountain, which is higher than Jogi Haphong, is Zow Tlang ( 999  m ), three kilometers to the south . Mowdok Mual ( 1045  m ), about nine kilometers to the north, is also higher than Jogi Haphong. in between there are two more nine hundred meters, but with 933  m and 922  m, they are significantly lower than the Jogi Haphong.
