The Zow Tlang is a mountain in Bangladesh on the border with Myanmar .

location

The summit of the mountain is located in the southeast of Bangladesh to the east of the Upazila Thanchi in the Chittagong Hill Tracts of Division Chittagong belonging district of Bandarban in the Mizo Hills , a ridge having a southern foothills of the Himalayas is a few meters from the border to Myanmar. The flanks of the mountain extend into the Mindat district in Myanmar's Chin State .

The next inhabited settlement is the mountain village of Dolian Para, about five kilometers west-northwest of the summit at an altitude of about 190 meters.

As part of an excursion in February 2017, the height of the Zow Tlang was determined using GPS to be 3323 feet (1013 meters). ACME Mapper states the height of the mountain as 997 meters. This makes the Zow Tlang the second highest mountain in Bangladesh behind the Mowdok Mual ( 1045  m ) located 13 kilometers further north and in front of the Dumlong located 41 kilometers north ( 997  m ) and the Keokradong 32 kilometers north-northeast ( 980  m ), which used to be the highest Mountain of Bangladesh was considered. It is also the southernmost mountain in Bangladesh with a height of 900 meters or more.

The Mowdok Mual is also the closest mountain that is higher than the Zow Tlang. With the exception of Jogi Haphong ( 974  m ) located 3 kilometers to the north, there are no other mountains in the vicinity of Zow Tlang that are higher than 900 meters.
