Johan Olof Anders Söderberg (born November 14, 1962 ) is a Swedish musician, screenwriter, film editor and director .

Life

Söderberg received training at the Gothenburg Music Academy , where he specialized in percussion instruments. He first gained fame as a member of the multimedia collective Lucky People Center (LPC), with whom he released several films and albums in the 1990s. The video artist Erik Pauser (* 1957) appeared as co-producer of the films at LPC .

After Söderberg had already developed an idiosyncratic style as an editor at LPC , where he made a wide variety of video samples a defining component of the music, he was also the editor of music videos for other artists, for example for the title She's Madonna (2007) by Robbie Williams , for the title Hang on by U2 and the title Me Myself and I (2003) by Beyoncé .

Johan Söderberg also worked on the controversial video American Life from Madonna 's album of the same name. Further collaboration with Madonna concerned the script for the titles Sorry and Hung up . In the video of Madonna Hey You (2007) he processed impressions of different cultures and global warming together with the director Marcus Lindkvist .
