Johann Adam Hartung
Johann Adam Hartung , also Johann Adolf Hartung (born January 25, 1801 in Berneck , † September 20, 1867 in Erfurt ) was a German classical philologist and high school teacher.
Hartung studied at the Universities of Erlangen and Munich . In 1824 he got a position at the grammar school in Erlangen , in 1837 a position as director at the Hennebergisches grammar school in Schleusingen , and finally from 1840 a position as director at the grammar school in Erfurt.
Hartung published mainly on the Greek language (especially on the particles ) and literature (especially on Euripides ).
