Johann Anton Casparis

Johann Anton Casparis junior (born August 6, 1854 at Rietberg Castle near Pratval , Graubünden ; † February 17, 1909 there ; entitled to live in Pratval and Latsch ) was a Swiss lawyer and politician (liberal).

Life

As the son of the lawyer and national councilor Johann Anton Casparis senior (1808–1877), he came from the old Grisons Casparis family . After graduation in 1873 at the Grisons cantonal school in Chur, he studied at the universities of Bologna , Leipzig and Berlin law . In Leipzig he joined the student union Landsmannschaft Afrania . From 1881 to 1889 and from 1891 to 1893 he was a member of the Grand Council of Graubünden. In 1892 and from 1900 to 1909 he was President of the Heinzenberg District Court . After the parliamentary elections in 1893 , he was a member of the National Council until 1896. He was also a co-owner of the Rietberg castle and farm .
