Johann Brandner

Johann Brandner (born August 27, 1902 in Auerbach ; † June 21, 1991 in Waldkirchen ) was a German politician ( CSU ).

Career

After attending elementary school and advanced training school, Brandner was employed as an acquirer for the Niederrheinische Arbeiter-Zeitung in Duisburg from 1921 to 1935 . From 1922 he was unionized, became a KPD member and was a member of the city council in Duisburg for four years. April 1, 1933 until May 19, 1934, he was by the Nazis in concentration camps Börgermoor in protective custody taken. Brandner then worked for various companies as a road construction worker and for the subway in Munich . On January 25, 1942, Brandner was drafted into Organization Todt , a construction team organized along the lines of a military model, and deployed in the northern section ( Soviet Union ).

In 1945 Brandner was appointed mayor of the communities Schiefweg and Waldkirchen and in January 1946 he was elected mayor of Waldkirchen. From June 1, 1946, he was district administrator in Wolfstein for two years and then worked as an independent timber merchant in Waldkirchen. On December 1, 1946, Brandner entered the Bavarian State Parliament as a member of parliament and worked there until November 26, 1950.
