Johann Christian Paurnfeind , rarely also Pauernfeind (* 1687 ; † January 10, 1768 in Salzburg ) was a mayor of the city of Salzburg in the 18th century.

Paurnfeind was a bourgeois trader and city ​​councilor in the prince-archbishop's Salzburg. From 1755 to 1768, i.e. at the time when Leopold Mozart also lived in the city, he was the successor of Kaspar Wilhelmseder for 13 years as the mayor of Salzburg.

Johann Christian Paurnfeind found his final resting place in the St. Peter cemetery in Salzburg (arcade crypt No. 50).
