Johann (Hans) Gustav Dürr (born March 28, 1880 in Mainbernheim , † July 18, 1952 in Lahr ) was a German bookbinder, trade unionist and politician ( SPD ).

After attending elementary school in Hohenfeld , Johann Dürr did an apprenticeship as a bookbinder . From 1901 to 1907 he was chairman of the Fürth branch and of the Northern Bavarian regional board of the bookbinder association, and from 1908 to 1914 chairman of the Stuttgart branch . From 1914 to 1933 he was the full-time district manager of the bookbinding association for Baden, based in Lahr. After the Nazis came to power , Johann Dürr was arrested in 1933 and imprisoned until 1935. He was arrested again in 1944 and interned in Dachau concentration camp from August 1944 to October 1944 . After the war he acted as managing director of the SPD in Lahr from 1945 to 1949 .

After an unsuccessful candidacy for the Reichstag in 1919, he was elected to the Baden state parliament in 1929 , to which he belonged until 1933.
