Johann Daniel Fritzer

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Johann Daniel Fritzer (* around 1600 in Senheim ; † March 1661 in Winningen ) was a German bailiff , clerk and mayor .

Life

Johann Daniel Fritzer was a son of the Steinkallenfelserhofer Hofmann Philipp Fritzer from Senheim. It is assumed that a Johann Daniel Fritzer, who appeared as Vogt zu Bruttig in 1631 , was his godfather. Fritzer's first mention of it came from 1620, when it was recorded in an interest register from Senheim. On June 10, 1631 he was first named as the clerk of the Kastellaun court and from 1631 to 1641 he was referred to there several times as the clerk and mayor.

In the spring of 1643 he received patronage from Kastellauner Joseph Zandt von Merl and was then nominated as Vogt of Winningen on the Moselle . In 1645, with the help of Joseph Zandt von Merl's, he stubbornly applied for a job as a waiter in the service of Mr. Boos von Waldeck , but this request was refused. In the period from 1643 to 1661, during which Johann Daniel Fritzer was demonstrably Vogt of Winningen, numerous witch trials took place . He was involved both as a clerk of the Kastellaun court and as Vogt zu Winningen.

Due to the fact that Winningen belonged to the County of Sponheim , was Lutheran and had been filled with Catholics by Wilhelm von Baden with all the offices due to him, religious tensions arose. In particular because of what Fritzer complained about in 1659: ... the Lutheran chaplain had pulled him and his wife through the teeth that they should attend the church of their religion and not his own. In the books of the Protestant church, Fritzer was mentioned twice in 1643, 1646, 1648, 1656 and lastly in 1657 as a godfather.

In connection with Senheim, Fritzer was only mentioned in 1636, together with his aunt, as administrator of the Steinkallenfelser Hof, and around 1650 with goods that Jörs Stephan held in his hands as the liege of the Vogtes zu Winningen.

family

Johann Daniel Fritzer and his wife Veronika, who was first named as godmother on September 29, 1653 and further on August 12, 1660 and December 8, 1661 in Winningen , had two children together. Son Philipp Fritzer was born on July 20, 1625 and was with Katharina, born on November 24, 1648. Litzen (1619–1675) married. Philipp died on November 30, 1708. Daughter Maria Margaretha Fritzer was officially named on September 2, 1660 (her date of birth) as the godmother and daughter of the bailiff in Winningen.
