Johann David Schlichthorst
Johann David Schlichthorst (born March 17, 1800 in Bremen ; † March 29, 1843 in Padingbüttel / Land Wursten ) was a co-founder of the North German Mission Society and an early revival preacher .
He came from an important family of theologians in the duchies of Bremen and Verden . After studying theology in Göttingen , he took up his pastor's position in Padingbüttel in 1827.
In 1831/32 he founded the North German Mission Society with the pastors Justus Alexander Saxer (1801–1875) and Ludwig Müller (1800–1864).
