Johann (es) Ehrenfried Thebesius (* 1717 in Hirschberg , Principality of Schweidnitz ; † February 1758 ibid) was a German doctor and obstetrician .

Life

Johann Thebesius, the youngest son of the doctor Adam Christian Thebesius , had studied medicine, received his doctorate in Leipzig in 1740 and became a doctor and city ​​physician in his hometown of Hirschberg. In Strasbourg he had under J. Jac. Fried practiced as an obstetrician. In 1756 he published a very successful midwifery textbook in Liegnitz .
