Johann Ernst von Flörcke

Johann Ernst Flörcke , from 1750 von Flörcke , (born July 9, 1695 in Jena , † June 9, 1762 in Nuremberg ) was a German lawyer .

Life

Johann Ernst von Flörcke was born the son of Syndic Heinrich Ernst Flörcke (born August 12, 1660 in Ullenhhausen; † May 25, 1741) and his wife Magaretha Barbara Struve on July 9, 1695 in Jena. In Magdeburg he attended a cathedral school and from 1713 studied law at the University of Jena . In 1720, the same university awarded him the doctorate degree. In 1726 von Flörcke became a lawyer , 1727 university syndic , 1730 extraordinary and 1731 full professor of law in Jena. In Gotha he became both government and court counselor in 1733 , and in 1743 he was also privy councilor . In 1750 he became vice-president of the senior consistory , a little later he was ennobled . In 1755 Johann Ernst von Flörcke became both legal professor and director of the University of Halle . In 1759, however, he and Johann Tobias Carrach were kidnapped by the Imperial Army as a hostage to Nuremberg , Prague and back to Nuremberg, where he died on June 9, 1762.
