Johann Evangelist Keller

Johann Evangelist Keller (born February 7, 1824 in Oberreute ; † September 17, 1910 in Munich ) was a farmer, mayor and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Keller attended elementary school in his home country and received private lessons from the pastor there, after which he was an estate owner in Goßholz (Lindenberg). From 1860 to 1884 he was mayor of the market town of Lindenberg and in 1902 he became its honorary citizen. From 1870 to 1876 he was also a member of the district administrators of Swabia and Neuburg. Between 1877 and 1899 he was a member of the Bavarian Chamber of Deputies and from 1887 to 1890 of the German Reichstag for the constituency Schwaben 6 ( Immenstadt , Sonthofen , Kempten , Lindau ) and the National Liberal Party .
