Johann Fillunger

Johann Fillunger (born October 22, 1807 in Schwechat , † June 9, 1879 in Vienna ) was an Austrian technician and statistician.

Life

Fillunger was born as the son of master bricklayer Johann Fillunger in Schwechat. After studying in Vienna and completing the military, he completed his polytechnic studies in Vienna in 1835. Among other things, he participated in the construction of the Badlwandgalerie and the Aspern Bridge . From May 1868 Fullinger became director of the Kaiser Ferdinands-Nordbahn .

Together with Josefine von Rosthorn he had five sons and three daughters. Among them the opera singer Marie Fillunger , the engineering scientist Paul Fillunger , and the geologist August Fillunger
