Johann Friedrich Sülmann

Johann Friedrich Sältmann (born March 21, 1800 in Mellin ; † March 24, 1878 in Rohrberg ) was a German farmer and politician .

Life

Sältmann had been running his estate in Mellin since 1818. The farmer played an important role in the political life of the Altmark , as an arbitrator, village mayor, member of the district council, and since 1871 as a member of the provincial council of the Brandenburg province in Berlin.

As early as 1847, he was a member of the rural communities in the Salzwedel-Gardelegen district in the United State Parliament in Berlin.

Johann Friedrich Danneil often stayed in Mellin, where he of Sültmann who always Platt was supported language in the study of Low German.
