Johann Georg Bausback
Johann Georg Bausback (born March 29, 1780 in Kitzingen ; † September 1, 1851 in Bamberg ) was a German lawyer.
Bausback came from a simple background. After his school days he began to study law and already during his studies he received several awards for his achievements.
After successfully completing his studies, Bausback was appointed as actuary at the regional court in Sulzheim in 1806 . A few years later he was promoted to assessor and transferred to Ebrach or Gremsdorf . He married in Gremsdorf and his son Friedrich Bausback was born there .
At the age of 38 he was transferred to the city court in Hof as civil adjunct and at the end of the same year as an assessor at the city court in Bamberg. There, Bausback later became a councilor. When he initiated a public collection for the benefit of the wounded during the Napoleonic Wars, he was publicly and warmly commended in 1807 .
Bausback published a number of legal treatises in which he always tried to explain complicated legal issues in a generally understandable manner. In 1840, four years after the death of his son, he published his son's works and wrote his biography.
At the age of 71, Johann Georg Bausback died in Bamberg in early September 1851.
