Johann Georg Dreydorff

Johann Georg Dreydorff , pseudonym: FF Montalte the Younger , (born April 5, 1834 in Ziegenhain ; † December 22, 1905 ) was a German Reformed theologian , pastor , philosopher and author .

Life

Dreydorff came from Hesse . After attending school, he studied theology, philosophy and philology in Marburg and Halle (Saale) . Then he was ten years educator of the Crown Prince Friedrich Wilhelm of Ysenburg and Büdingen in Wächtersbach worked, during which time he earned his Dr. phil. On February 14, 1867, he began his work as a pastor at the Reformed Church in Leipzig . After his retirement in 1894 he was still a voting member of the Reformed Congregation in Leipzig until his death. Dreydorff was a supporter of liberal theology .

His son Johann Georg Dreydorff, born in Leipzig in 1873, embarked on a career as an artist and became a well-known painter. He died in Krefeld in 1935.
