Johann Georg von der Groeben , also George , (* January 16, 1709 , † February 10, 1777 ) was a Prussian district administrator in the Rastenburg district .

Life

Origin and family

Johann Georg was a member of the Prussian noble family von der Groeben . His parents were the Prussian general and explorer Otto Friedrich von der Groeben (1657–1728) and his second wife Helene Maria, née Countess Truchsess von Waldburg (1681–1710). He married Gertrud Gottliebe von Troschke (1706–1776) in 1730 . The marriage produced numerous children were born, including the 1786 in the rank of count raised Heir to Ponarien Ernst Wolfgang von der Groeben (1740-1818) and Regina Amalia of the Gröben, married Landrätin Wilhelm von Gottberg Boguslaw (1731 to 1804).

Career

In 1777 Groeben was the hereditary lord of Limbsee in the district of Rosenberg , Launingken, Arenstein , Eschergallen and Jantecken in the district of Heiligenbeil , and Tolksdorf in the district of Rastenburg.
