Johann Heinrich Joseph Georg von Flemming (born March 9, 1752 in Dresden ; † June 7, 1830 in Crossen Castle in Crossen an der Elster ) was a crown sword bearer in Poland .

Life

Johann Heinrich Joseph Georg von Flemming came from the noble family Flemming and was the son of the Infantry General, Lieutenant General and secret cabinet minister Karl Georg Friedrich von Flemming and Henriette Charlotte nee. Princess Lubomirska .

As a crown sword-bearer, he was obliged to serve in the Polish state, but resigned when he inherited the office of Crossen at the time. On December 25, 1782 he married Christiane Marie Charlotte Countess von Hardenberg, the daughter of Field Marshal Christian Ludwig von Hardenberg in Braunschweig. His wife lived separately from him and died on January 26, 1814 in Bayreuth. The couple had three sons and one daughter:

  • Johann Friedrich August Detlev (born January 9, 1785 - † October 8, 1827), Prussian diplomat
  • Johann Adolf Alexander (1786–1786)

After the death of his first wife, he married a second time on March 24, 1820: Countess Johanne Christina Luise von Hohenthal (born November 30, 1765; † March 28, 1840), the widow of Count Georg Friedrich August von Polenz (1741– 1815), Saxon lieutenant general.
