Johann Heinrich Nickel

Johann Heinrich Josef Nickel (born November 5, 1829 in Hanau ; † November 15, 1908 there ) was a businessman and member of the German Reichstag of the German Liberal Party .

Life

Nickel was a merchant in the jewelry trade . He was also co-founder and chairman of the Hanau credit association and commercial judge. Between 1875 and 1882 he was Vice Mayor of Hanau and from 1882 to 1885 a member of the Hessian Chamber of Deputies and from 1895 to 1907 a member of the Kassel Municipal Parliament and the Provincial Parliament of the Hesse-Nassau Province .

From 1887 to 1890 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Kassel 8 Hanau , Gelnhausen and the German Progressive Party .

Honors

  • Honorary citizen in 1898 for special services in the city of Hanau
