Johann Jacob Tischbein
Johann Jacob Tischbein (born February 21, 1725 in Haina (monastery) ; † August 22/23 , 1791 in Lübeck ) was a German painter from the well-known artist family Tischbein , also known as Lübecker Tischbein .
Johann Jacob Tischbein was the sixth son of the Haina hospital baker Johann Heinrich Tischbein (1682–1764). He first learned wallpaper painting in Kassel , but also created paintings. Tischbein married a daughter of the painter Johann Dietrich Lilly . He worked in Hamburg and from 1775 in Lübeck.
He was married to Magdalene Gertrud Lilly. His son August Albrecht Christian Tischbein also became a painter and lithographer. His daughter Sophia was also a painter. Johann Jacob was the teacher of his nephew Johann Heinrich Wilhelm Tischbein , known as Goethe -Tischbein .
