Johann Jakob Feuerlein

Johann Jakob Feuerlein (also Johann Jacob ; born May 9, 1670 in Nuremberg ; † May 30, 1716 ibid) was a German Lutheran theologian .

Life

Johann Jakob Feuerlein came from the old Franconian bourgeois family Feuerlein . He was the youngest son of the pastor and later Antistes Konrad Feuerlein . He studied first at the University of Altdorf , where he disputed in 1689 under the guidance of Daniel Wilhelm Moller , and from 1691 at the University of Jena , where he disputed in 1694 under the guidance of Johann Wilhelm Baier . In 1692 he received his master's degree and returned to his hometown in 1695. In 1696 he became pastor in Regelsbach , in 1704 a deacon at the Egidienkirche in Nuremberg.

Matthias Wolfes characterizes him as a "not very original representative of contemporary, regionally shaped Lutheranism".
