Johann Jakob von Vicari

Johann Jakob Vicari (raised in 1777 to knighthood; * 2. March 1740 Aulendorf (or Freiburg); † 27. October 1805 Bregenz ) was an Austrian civil servant, lawyer and District Chief in Bregenz.

Life

Johann Jacob was the son of Hofrat Dr. Georg Andreas Vicari, immigrated from Milan, and Maria Anna Josepha de Gall. From 1754 he studied at the University of Freiburg im Breisgau, in 1757 he successfully completed this legal training. He then joined Austrian services as Landschreiber, Second Secretary and city mayor of Rottenburg am Neckar (until 1778), from 1784 he was in the reign Tettnang and Wasserburg as a bailiff from 1792 to 1797, the kk front of Austrian government and Kammerrat operates. On January 7, 1797 he was appointed head of the district in Bregenz and retired in 1805. In 1787/88 Vicari was also provisional mayor of Constance .

Around 1800 Johann Jacob von Vicari gave the district treasury a loan of 12,000 guilders , but the interest was not paid in 1803 and 1804. After 1801 he acquired the Deuringschlössle in Bregenz.

Johann Jacob Vicari was raised to the herbland knighthood on January 3, 1777 .
