Johann Jenitz

Johann Jenitz (also Hans; * 1st half of the 16th century; † 1589 ) was chamber secretary of the Saxon Elector August in Dresden.

Johann Jenitz worked as chamber secretary for Elector August . He later became a member of the chamber council and captain of the Hohnstein office .

On September 20, 1576, as thanks for his services, Elector August gave him the Vorwerk in Lohmen , which his heirs sold to Elector Christian I in 1590 .

On November 15, 1575, together with chamber master Hans Harrer, he received a privilege to produce the color substance safflower from bismuth ore from Schneeberg . On October 27, 1576, he sold the newly built paper mill on Wesenitzbach in Lohmen to Hieronymus Schaffhirt .
