Johann Moritz von Viebahn

Johann Franz Moritz von Viebahn (* 19 February 1684 in hollow (Gummersbach) , † 5. April 1739 in Berlin) was a Prussian Justice Minister and ambassador to the Polish court.

Life

Viebahn studied law and was matriculated in Gießen in 1701. He was raised to the Prussian nobility on April 22, 1727. In 1729 he succeeded Minister Christoph von Katsch (1665–1729) as general auditor .

family

Viebahn's father was the higher appellate court assessor Johann Heinrich Viebahn (1659–1730), hereditary resident at Hohl and Mühlenfels, who received his nobility diploma on January 24, 1728. His mother was his first wife Maria Christina Lagemann (* around 1661). His brother Johann Henrich Viebahn (* 1686) was chief war commissioner and tax council in Kassel .

He married Sophie Louise Charlotte von Ramsay in 1725 , with whom he had two children. His daughter Caroline Wilhelmine Henriette von Viebahn († 1748) married the privy councilor Friedrich von Reichenbach .
