Johann Nepomuk Kaňka senior
Johann Nepomuk Kaňka (* 1744 in Prague ; † March 30, 1798 ibid) was a Bohemian lawyer and composer .
Life
The son of the builder Franz Maximilian Kaňka received his training at the Jesuit College and then studied law and philosophy at the University of Prague, where he received his doctorate in 1768. jur. PhD. Then he was employed in the judicial service. In 1778 he was Appellationsrat, 1783 District Administrator in Bohemia and 1787 Appellationsrat in Landrecht .
He also organized music evenings in his apartment and worked as a composer and music collector . His son of the same name, Johann Nepomuk, was also a well-known lawyer and composer.
