Johann Peter Nesemann
Johann Peter Nesemann (* 1724 in Bahrendorf ; † January 26, 1802 in Chur ) was a German - Swiss teacher .
Life
Johann Peter Nesemann was born in Bahrendorf near Magdeburg in 1724 and attended the Francke Foundations . In the years 1747 to 1751 he studied at the University of Halle theology . After completing his studies, he worked as a teacher at the foundations 'girls' school. From 1751 he was tutor in the canton of Graubünden . From 1761 he was head of the seminary in Haldenstein with Martin Planta and from 1771 headmaster of the Philanthropinum Schloss Marschlins . In 1775 he built and directed the city school in Chur. In 1793 he was also given the management of the Philanthropin in Reichenau . From 1796 he shared this office with Heinrich Zschokke .
He died in Chur on January 26, 1802. He was a pietist and republican , he strove for modern pedagogy and taught natural law . He is considered a pioneer of the Bündner canton school .
