Johann Samuel Ferdinand Blumröder (born July 27, 1793 in Gillersdorf , † October 31, 1878 in Erfurt ) was an Evangelical Lutheran clergyman in Thuringia .

Johann Samuel Blumröder was the son of the pastor and consistory assistant Heinrich Ludwig Christian Blumröder and his wife Johanna Helena Sophia Friederica née Reinhardt. Johann Samuel Blumröder married Marianne Charlotte Kritz (born September 26, 1796 in Leipzig, † July 19, 1879 in Erfurt) in the Thomaskirche in Leipzig on October 29, 1820, the daughter of Christian Wilhelm Kritz.

After attending the high school in Arnstadt from 1806 to 1813 and studying theology in Jena (1813–1814) and Leipzig (1814–1815), he initially worked as a private tutor and teacher in various positions before becoming pastor in Oelze and Masserberg in Schwarzburg has been. From 1829 until his retirement in 1871, Blumröder was pastor in Marlishausen with a branch in Hausen to the south.

In 1838 he founded a nursery for small children in Marlishausen and thus one of the oldest kindergartens in Germany, which still exists today. This “kindergarten” was equipped and maintained by the community and financial support from Princess Mathilde von Schwarzburg-Sondershausen . A widow from the village was entrusted with looking after the children. It is said that Blumröder himself actively participated in the care.

Ferdinand Blumröder was a member of the first state parliament of the Principality of Schwarzburg-Sondershausen for the electoral district of the scholarly class of the supreme power . Actually, the mayor and judiciary Christian Heinrich Meinhard was elected to the state parliament. However, this did not accept the mandate. He was a liberal member of parliament and was a member of the state parliaments of this small state for almost 7½ years. From 1849 to 1850 he was Landtag Director (Landtag President). He was elected to number one on the list of proposals on June 7, 1849 with a narrow majority of 7 to 6 votes and was appointed by the prince.
