Johann Scheid

Johann Scheid (born September 14, 1925 in Regensburg ; † April 17, 2008 ibid) was a German engineer, President of the Chamber of Crafts and Bavarian Senator .

Life

Scheid completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter in his parents' company after attending elementary school and the business school in Regensburg . After his deployment in World War II, he studied engineering at the University of Applied Sciences in Regensburg , which he completed with a degree in engineering .

In 1948 he became a partner in his parents' business. In 1979 he became a personally liable partner of Scheid-Holzbau. He was foreman of the carpentry guild Regensburg, sat on the board of Kreishandwerkerschaft and construction Guild Regensburg and was 1979-1994 President of the Chamber of Trade Lower Bavaria-Upper Palatinate and then there Honorary President.

From 1988 on he was also a member of the executive committee of the Central Association of German Crafts and was chairman of the main committee for finance and tax policy. He was also a member and from 1976 chairman of the supervisory board of Volksbank Regensburg . In 1986 he was honored by the city of Regensburg for his services to the business location Regensburg with the Matthäus-Runtinger-Medal . From 1992 to 1997 he was a member of the Bavarian Senate.
