He gave the parish “zu Stremig” a parsonage together with Wittum (a former Fronhof ) with the freedom “to run a public tavern in one room of the house and to keep pigeons”, which at that time was considered a privilege of free citizens. As a result of the donation, the Bechel family received the right of collation in Strimmig, i. that is, the right to appoint or appoint the pastor.

The late Gothic tombstone in Mittelstrimmig in front of the parish church St. Philippus & Jakobus, which is still preserved today, is described as follows: Under a three-pointed keel - arched canopy is a priest in a chasuble with a chalice in his left hand, while the right hand points to the edge of the chalice . On the two upper corners of the grave slab two identical coats of arms of the Bechel von Siersburg: shield covered with Glevenrad . In the 18th century, the grave slab was used a second time for Pastor Paul Koch, who died on June 12, 1729, whose grave inscription is attached to the lower part of the chasuble. The Catholic Bechel family played an important role in Koblenz in the 15th century and in later years in the Hunsrück .
