The Lince District is one of the 43 urban districts of the Lima Metropolitana Region in Peru . It has an area of ​​3.03 km². The 2017 census counted 54,711 residents. In 1993 the population was 62,938, in 2007 it was 55,242. The district was established on May 29, 1936.

Geographical location

The Lince district is located 4 km south of the city center of Lima at an altitude of about 117  m . The district measures about 3 km north-south and 2.7 km in east-west direction. It borders in the north on the districts Jesús María and Lima (Cercado de Lima), in the east on the district La Victoria and in the south and west on the district San Isidro .
