The district of San Bartolo is one of the 43 urban districts of the Lima Metropolitana region in Peru . It has an area of ​​45.01 km². The 2017 census counted 7,482 inhabitants. In 1993 the population was 3303, in 2007 it was 6412. The administrative center is San Bartolo .

Geographical location

The district of San Bartolo is located in the south of the Lima Province , 47 km southeast of the city center of Lima . The district has an approximately 2 km long section on the Pacific coast and extends just under 13 km inland, where the foothills of the Peruvian Western Cordillera rise. The district is bordered by the Punta Negra district to the north, the Santo Domingo de los Olleros district ( Huarochirí province ) to the east, the Chilca district ( Cañete province ) to the southeast and the Santa María del Mar district to the southwest .
