The Chaclacayo District is one of the 43 urban districts of the Lima Metropolitana Region in Peru . It covers an area of ​​39.5 km². The 2017 census counted 42,912 residents. In 1993 the population was 35,994, in 2007 it was 41,110. The administrative seat is in Chaclacayo .

Geographical location

The Chaclacayo district is located in the east of the Lima province . It is located in the Peruvian Western Cordillera on the southern bank of the Río Rímac , 33 km east of the city center of Lima .

The Chaclacayo district is bordered to the west by the district Ate , in the north and east by the district Lurigancho , in the southeast of the district Antioquía ( Huarochirí Province ) and in the south by the District Cieneguilla .
