Iglesia San Jose

The Jesús María district is one of the 43 urban districts of the Lima Metropolitana region in Peru . It has an area of ​​4.57 km². The 2017 census counted 75,359 inhabitants. In 1993 the population was 65,557, in 2007 66,171. The district was established on December 17, 1963.

Geographical location

The Jesús María district is located 4 km southwest of Lima city center. The district has a maximum length in NE-SW direction of 3.5 km and an average width of 1.3 km. The district is bordered by the Pueblo Libre and Breña districts to the west, the Lima district (Cercado de Lima) to the north and northeast, the Lince and San Isidro districts to the southeast, and the Magdalena del Mar district to the southwest .
