The Los Olivos District is one of the 43 municipalities of the Lima Metropolitana Region in Peru . It has an area of ​​18.25 km². The 2017 census counted 325,884 inhabitants. In 1993 the population was 228,143, in 2007 it was 318,140. The district was established on April 6, 1989.

Geographical location

The Los Olivos district is located 7.5 km northwest of the city center of Lima at an altitude of about 75  m . The district measures about 10.2 km in north-south direction and 2.9 km in east-west direction. The national road 1N ( Panamericana ) runs through the district to the north. The Los Olivos district is bordered by the Puente Piedra district to the north, the Comas and Independencia districts to the east and the San Martín de Porres district to the south and west .
