The Antioquía district is located in the Huarochirí province of the Lima region in the central west of Peru . The district has an area of ​​387.98 km². At the 2017 census there were 1225 inhabitants in the district. In 1993 the population was 1469, in 2007 it was 1376. The district administration is located in the 1526  m high village of Antioquía (also Espiritu Santo ) with 367 inhabitants (as of 2017).

Geographical location

The Antioquía district is located in the central west of the Huarochirí province. It is located in the Peruvian Western Cordillera on the middle reaches of the Río Lurín , which flows through it in a westerly direction.

The Antioquía district borders on the Cieneguilla district ( Lima province ) to the west, the Chaclacayo , Lurigancho (both in the Lima province ) districts to the north , Ricardo Palma , Santa Cruz de Cocachacra , Santiago de Tuna and San Andrés de Tupicocha , to the east to the districts of San Damián , Lahuaytambo and Cuenca district , to the south to the Santo Domingo de los Olleros district and to the south-west to the Pachacámac (Lima Province).
