Anthony Altar

He is archivally documented as a contractor and master of a workshop with two journeymen for the altar wings of the Antonius retable in Lübeck's St. Anne's Museum. This winged altar (239 × 134.5 × 28 cm) with the statue of Saint Anthony was commissioned by the Antonius Brotherhood in 1520 and was installed in the Maria Magdalenenkirche of the castle monastery . The order worth 310 Marks Lübisch is documented in the account book 1521–1533 of the Antonius Brotherhood by their elders , including the merchant Christian Northoff . The work share of Johann van Kollen consisted of painting the wings and was rewarded with 150 Luebeck marks. This contrasted with 80 Mark Lübisch for the carving work by Benedikt Dreyer .
