Johanna Auer

Johanna Auer (born October 8, 1950 in Rust , Burgenland ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ).

Life

Johanna Auer first attended elementary and secondary school in Rust before completing the Protestant music-pedagogical secondary school in Oberschützen for one year from 1965 to 1966 . In 1966 she switched to the business school in Eisenstadt , where she graduated in 1968. Shortly afterwards, she found work as an office clerk at the public prosecutor's office in Eisenstadt.

Johanna Auer has been with the Social Democratic Party since the early 1970s, specifically in the local branch of Neufeld an der Leitha . Later she rose to the position of deputy chairwoman for the Eisenstadt-Umgebung district . In 1992 she moved to the local council of Neufeld an der Leitha as a member of her party , to which she was a member for ten years until 2002. In 2002 she was elected Social Councilor and Deputy Mayor of her home municipality.

In December 2000 she moved to Vienna as a member of the Federal Council . She was then a member of the regional chamber until October 2005.
