Johanna von Hohenzollern-Berg
Johanna Josephina Antonia Sophia von Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen (born April 14, 1727 in Castle 's-Heerenberg , † February 22, 1787 in Sigmaringen ) was heir to the county of Berg and by marriage was Princess of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen .
Life
Johanna von Hohenzollern-Berg was the eldest daughter of Count Franz Wilhelm von Hohenzollern-Berg (1704–1737) from his marriage to Maria Katharina (1702–1739), daughter of Baron Johann Christoph von Waldburg, Count of Zeil and Lord of Trauchburg.
After her brother Johann Baptist Oswald resigned, Johanna became heir to the county of Berg-s'Heerenberg in 1738. She married the later Prince Karl Friedrich von Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen (1724–1785) on March 2, 1749 at Schloss Kail . From then on, the princely couple lived primarily on Johanna's Dutch estates.
After her death, the lucrative county of Berg fell to her eldest son, who he lost again in 1802.
