Patrick Bona (born February 14, 1981 in Bozen , South Tyrol ) is an Italian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Italian second division club HC Falcons Brixen since 2018 .
Career
Patrick Bona began his career as an ice hockey player at HC Pustertal , for which he was active in Serie A1 from 1997 to 1999 . He then moved to HC Maran Junior for a year. He then played two seasons for the second division club WSV Sterzing before moving again to HC Meran Junior in 2002 . A year later, Patrick Bona tried it abroad: he was signed to Brest Albatros Hockey in the Super 16 (today's Ligue Magnus), the top French division. But after just 12 games in France, he returned to Italy, where he stormed for SV Ritten for a year . In 2004 Patrick Bona returned to his hometown club and over the years has made himself a permanent member of this team. In 2011 he won the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa Italiana with HC Pustertal and the Supercoppa again in 2014 and 2016.
For the 2018/19 season, Bona moved to the Italian second division club HC Falcons Brixen .
International
For Italy, Bona took part in the U18 B European Championship in 1998 , the U18 Junior B World Championship in 1999 , and the U20 Junior C World Championship in 1999 . Furthermore, he was in Italy's squad at the U20 Junior B World Championship in 2000 and, after switching to the current division system, at the U20 World Championship in Division I in 2001 .
In the 2009/10 season, Bona made his debut in the Italian men's selection , for which he first took part in the 2014 title fights in a world championship, but only completed one game there.
