Since 1990 Brunner has been working with the composer Raimund Ritz (* 1964 in Meckenbeuren), who also lives in Munich . Characteristic of their joint work are cross-over works from the fields of visual arts, music, film and theater, as well as art in public spaces. After Traffic Light Flower (2001) at the head office of Stadtwerke München and Parabel (2002) for the Faculties of Mathematics and Computer Science at the Technical University of Munich, Garching, her latest work is the Golden Ladder (2008) in the new Forum retail center in Duisburg. The massive steel sculpture represents an oversized ladder to heaven with a pompous gold coat. It towers over the roof by 41 meters.

Brunner has directed several award-winning (short) films together with Raimund Ritz since the 1990s:

  • 1993: 5 pieces ( short film ) - International Video Art Award
  • 1996: The increased journey (short film) - received the rating "particularly valuable".
  • 2005: Oktoberfest (movie) - with Barbara Rudnik and Peter Lohmeyer , Brunner tried his hand at writing and directing for the first time.
