Johannes Eder (born October 19, 1979 in Oberndorf near Salzburg ) is a former Austrian cross-country skier .

He competed in his first World Cup race in 1998. At the Winter Universiade 2001 he won the bronze medal over 10 km in classic style. In 2004 he was able to win an FIS race. At the 2005 World Championships he reached eleventh place in the team sprint. In 2006 he took part in the Olympic Games in Turin and in 2007 in the World Championships , where he achieved his best individual result with fourth place over 15 km freestyle.

In April 2007, Eder and his compatriots Jürgen Pinter , Martin Tauber and Roland Diethart were banned from the Olympic Games for life by the IOC for doping . The ÖSV suspended Eder for one year, the FIS issued a two-year suspension and all results from Turin 2006 and the 2007 World Cup were canceled.
