Johannes Göser

Johannes Evangelist Göser (born January 9, 1828 in Unterboihingen , † January 18, 1893 in Berlin ) was a Catholic clergyman and a member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Göser attended the upper secondary school in Rottweil and the universities of Tübingen and Munich . After that he was vicar in Mergentheim and Weil der Stadt , in the latter place he was also the administrator of the prefecture. Then he was pastor in Sontheim near Heilbronn for over 25 years and at the same time dean of the Neckarsulm chapter for the last 11 years . Most recently he was pastor in Saulgau . During the mobilization of the Württemberg troop corps in 1859 and in the wars of 1866 and 1870/71 he was chaplain. Göser was the owner of the Iron Cross , in 1871 he received the Knight's Cross, 2nd class of the Order of the Württemberg Crown . Because of his candidacy for the Reichstag, he was removed from his position as chaplain.

From 1887 to 1893 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Württemberg 17 ( Ravensburg , Tettnang , Saulgau , Riedlingen ) and the German Center Party .
