Johannes Gelich

Johannes Gelich (* 1969 in Salzburg ) is an Austrian writer and journalist .

Life

Johannes Gelich studied theater studies and German in Vienna . After graduating, he was a lecturer in Iași in Romania for two years .

He then wrote numerous publications and reports in FAZ , Literature and Criticism , Ö1 and Der Standard .

In 2006 Gelich received the Book Prize of the Chamber of Labor Upper Austria for his novel Chlor . In 2008 he was the town clerk of Sibiu . In 2015 he received the Karl Renner Publizistikpreis, the highest award in Austrian journalism, for the feature "Maybe I should have loved you" (ORF, Ö1).

Johannes Gelich lives and works in Vienna .
